Yana Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026.
What Yana is
Yana is a voice companion. You talk, Yana talks back. This policy explains what leaves your phone and why.
What we process
- Your voice during a call is streamed to our server and on to OpenAI, which generates Yana's replies. Audio is not stored by us.
- Camera frames, only while you turn the camera on during a call, are sent the same way so Yana can see what you show. Frames are deleted within minutes and are never stored.
- Your name and the notes, plans, memories and call summaries Yana writes stay on your phone. Summaries are produced by sending the transcript of a call to OpenAI once, then kept only on your device.
- Your account: Sign in with Apple gives us an anonymous identifier. We keep it with your plan and the minutes you have used, so your talk time follows you to a new phone.
What we do not do
We do not sell data, we do not track you across apps, and we do not use your conversations to train models. OpenAI processes conversation data under its API terms, which exclude training.
Deleting your data
"Clear memory and chats" in the app removes everything stored on the phone. Signing out removes the session; to delete your account and its usage record, write to privacy@yanavoice.com.
Children
Yana is for adults. Flirt mode requires confirming you are over 18.
